Gillian Richardson

Gillian oversees the University’s portfolio of large, multi-year change programmes aimed at delivering strategic objectives including improving the staff and student experience. A Finance and Accountancy graduate, Gillian came to the University having built up a wealth of experience delivering successful change outcomes in private sector, local authority, third sector and higher education.

She joined Moray House School of Education and Sport in December 2018 as Director of Professional Services. Her commitment to continuous improvement led to a secondment to the Strategic Change Service as Head of Change Implementation in July 2021. In this role, she led the internal review of Strategic Change and Continuous Improvement, implementing several improvements, including the introduction of the University Initiatives Portfolio Board.

Gillian was appointed interim Director of Strategic Change in July 2024.
